Corvette_black-whiteThe C&C Corvette Association is a EXCELLENT non-profit association for owners of the 31-foot Corvette cruising sailboat. Based out of Ontario, Canada, the association provides opportunities for Corvette owners to socialize and share experiences. The association also provides helpful resources like information on common upgrades for the boat, a contact list of known Corvette owners, and a biannual Rendezvous. The association has members from all over the world.

Update: Our 2017 rendezvous was held at the Kingston Yacht Club.

Note: The name Corvette was picked by its designers as a tribute to the WWII-era Corvette naval vessel; it has nothing to do with the car made by Chevrolet/General Motors in the USA.

In Memoriam:

For those of you that have been around for a while will know Jon Wilkins, more often known as Wilkie. For others, Wilkie was a fixture in the Corvette Association.

Wilkie “crossed the bar” a few days ago, March 23rd.

Jon was a long time owner of Quoin, hull 35. (Which he bought and sold twice) He was actively involved in the association, I think one of the original members. He had been President, Treasurer, Membership Chair, had organized or been involved in organizing a number of the rendezvous.

Always pleasant. Always there to offer advice or assist in any of the projects involving the boat or group.

People such as Jon are rare.

Safe journey Jon. You will be missed.
